Remember when the Berlin Wall came down? It was a remarkable day in history--we watched, with joy and thanksgiving, as a people in bondage saw blessed freedom with no wall between!
Walls are not fun--and you may know someone--or you may BE someone--that's got WALLS up all around--you're unreachable, untouchable and unredeemable....for you see, as long as the walls are up, even GOD won't crash through--you are on your own! But wait--you are NOT alone--I see shadows on those walls--shadows in eerie living (or dying!) color--they haunt and hold you captive...have you had a good look at them lately?
See the BLUE shadow. It's got some black "overtones"--and it's not singing--unless it's singing the blues. Overwhelmed by despair, disappointment and depression, this dark, sad shadow fills the walls of your heart with graffiti from the grave!
Now watch the RED shadow--this one almost jumps OFF the wall! It's mad at the world, at family and friends, at circumstances, at self--and at God. It's been hurt--imprinted by the hard stuff of life, innoculated with the toxic taste of bitterness, and enlarged to its maximum height, width--and depth.
But wait--there's one more shadow, almost covering the entire wall--it's WHITE with fear, its fists tightly clenched, its nerves moving silently and destructively through its form. Fear of life, fear of death, fear of persons, people, things--and fear of God.
Dark shadows on hopeless, heavy walls of life--and no crayon-removing agent to erase their sinister shapes; no rubbing alcohol to cleanse their gaping wounds...blue, red, white shadows on the walls of your heart--and no hope....OR is there?
Yes, there is HOPE....hope eternal from the throne of God. Look beyond the walls and see the Blood of Jesus Christ covering, cleansing, creating Light where darkness dwelt--the pure white Light of His Love. Can the walls come down? Can the shadows be dispelled? Of course--when you let in the Light, the powerful Light of God's love! Are you willing to do it today?
Just as the walls of Jericho fell with the sound of the trumpets, God can do the same in your life today. The Mighty Warrior from Heaven's Halls wants to blast those walls and cast away those shadows with the Light of His Love. Let the sound of victory be heard in YOUR life today--and the walls MUST fall in Jesus' Name! Believe it, claim it--and have a great day!
Scripture: "...thanks be to God, who giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:57)."
Prayer: "Lord, the walls are up in my heart's house; shadows fill the surface; nothing will erase them away--NOTHING but Your PRECIOUS BLOOD which I claim in my life this day. Eradicate the shadows, tear down the walls, and may I be FREE to serve You, In Jesus' Name, Amen."

A Dachshund Funny
A wealthy man decided to go on a safari in Africa. He took his faithful pet dachshund along for company. One day, the dachshund started chasing butterflies into the jungle, and before long he was lost.
Wandering about, he saw a leopard heading rapidly in his direction with the obvious intention of having lunch. "I'm in deep trouble now!" the dachshund thought. Then he noticed some bones on the ground close by, and settled down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat.
Just as the leopard was about to leap, the dachshund exclaimed loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious leopard. I wonder if there are any more around here? "Hearing this, the leopard halted his attack in mid-stride, terrified, and slunk away into the jungle. "Whew," said the leopard. "That was close. That dachshund nearly got me."
Meanwhile, a monkey who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figured he could put this knowledge to good use and trade it to the leopard for protection. So off he went after the leopard with great speed.
But the dachshund saw where he was heading and figured what he must be up to. The monkey soon caught up with the leopard, spilled the beans and struck a deal for himself. The leopard was furious at being made a fool of and said, "Here monkey, hop on my back and watch what happens to that conniving canine."
Now the dachshund saw the leopard coming with the monkey on his back, and thinks, "What am I going to do now?" But instead of running, the dog sat down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hadn't seen them. And when they get close enough to hear, the dachshund said, "Where's that monkey? I sent him off half an hour ago to bring me another leopard."
